User Policy (Terms of Use)

The following are the terms of the legal agreement between the user and Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as the “Company”). Accessing, viewing, or using the website operated by the Company (hereafter referred to as the “Company Website”) is recognized as an agreement by the user, having read and understood these Terms of Use, to abide by the Terms of Use and observe the applicable laws. If the user does not agree with the Terms of Use, the user cannot use this website. The Terms of Use are subject to change. Please verify the latest content of the Terms of Use.

The copyrights of the letters, text, photographs, logos, images, drawings, and other works posted on the Company Website are the property of the Company and the creators of those works, and belong to the Company or the copyright holder who has permitted the Company’s use of the work.
Reproduction without permission of the information, images, etc. of works provided through the Company Website is prohibited.

The Company makes no guarantees with regard to use of the Company Website by the user. Use of the Company Website is the responsibility of the user and the Company bears no responsibility for any form of loss or damage occurring from use of the Company Website by the user.
The Company may change, add to, improve, or discontinue all or part of the Company Website without giving prior notice to the user. The Company bears no responsibility for changes to, additions to, improvements to, or discontinuation of the Company Website.

1. Regarding links to the Company Website
   Links to the Company Website are free in principle, regardless of whether they are for commercial or non-commercial use. However, please refrain from setting links that fall under, or might fall under, any one or more of the following.
   • 1) Websites that contain content that defames or disparages, or is intended to cause loss of confidence in, the Company or another company, person, or group.
   • 2) Websites that act to infringe, or might infringe, intellectual property rights such as copyrights, trademark rights, etc., or other rights such as property, privacy, or likeness rights.
   • 3) Websites that could possibly mislead third parties, such as by having the Company Website opening within a frame etc., or not clarifying that content belongs to the Company (please be sure to set links in a form where the screen switches completely to the Company Website or a new browser window is opened and the Company Website is displayed therein).
   • 4) Websites that, apart from the above, might act to contravene legislation or public policy, including laws, ordinances, and regulations, or might interfere with the operation of the Company Website services.
2. Pasting a link using, without permission, a registered trademark such as a logo or company mark retained by the Company is not allowed. Pasting a link in a form where the origin of information is misleading is prohibited.

   Please be aware that the Company bears no responsibility whatsoever regarding compensation, complaints, etc. with respect to links.

In order to improve the level of security of the Company Website, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) cryptographic communication is used in some services.
In order to use the relevant services, the web browser you are using must support 128-bit SSL.
By using a web browser that supports security functions, personal information such as the real name and address or telephone number etc. entered by the user is automatically encrypted when it is sent and received.
In the unlikely event that the transmitted data is intercepted by a third party, there is no possibility that the content can be stolen.
Also, depending on firewall settings etc., the relevant page may not be usable.

Not all user manuals and technical documents (hereafter referred to as “User Manuals, etc.”) for products sold by the Company are provided on the Company Website.
The information contained in User Manuals, etc. may not be the latest information, due to changes in laws and regulations etc.
User manuals, etc. are documents provided for customers, with the assumption that they are for people considering the purchase of and existing users of products.
The copyrights for User Manuals, etc. belong to the Company. Duplication of all or part of the content of User Manuals, etc. without obtaining permission from the copyright holder is prohibited.
It is assumed that this service is provided for the convenience of users, and the Company bears no responsibility in the unlikely event that damage occurs as a result of the use of or the inability to use the service.
Depending on the state of the user's computer, network etc., there may be cases where User Manuals, etc. are not downloaded correctly.

These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

The Tokyo District Court shall be the agreed court with exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance for any and all disputes between members and the Company regarding the Terms of Use.

When considering selecting or ordering products, please check the drawings and product specification sheet beforehand.
Regarding connectors used in combination with cables, please be sure to use compatible cables.　When considering non-compatible cables, please contact our sales office.
Wiring work using tools other than those designated by the Company is not covered by warranty.
When considering the use of the Company’s products for the following purposes, please be sure to consult our sales office.
Whether such use will be covered by warranty will be considered according to conditions.
(Equipment that requires extremely high reliability, such as on-board automotive equipment, medical equipment, public infrastructures, and aerospace and defense equipment.)

This agreement shall apply from April 1, 2018.
